![]() ![]() His main area of research is on language contact varieties such as pidgins, creoles, indigenized varieties, and immigrant koines, and he has published extensively on Melanesian Pidgin, Hawai‘i Creole and Fiji Hindi. ![]() He has more than 30 years of university teaching experience not only in Australia but also in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and Hawai‘i. Jeff Siegel received his PhD in Linguistics from the Australian National University in 1985, and is currently Adjunct Professor at the University of New England in Australia.
